Charlotte Tilbury Brand Overview (Now Available at Sephora)

Charlotte Tilbury is well known in the beauty industry as a British celebrity makeup artist that has her own luxury makeup line.  While her line is available through different retailers in the US, including Nordstorm, Net-A-Porter and her own website (www.charlottetilbury.com), the launch today at Sephora has me excited as I tend to have Sephora gift cards on hand and you can earn points as a Beauty Insider member as well.  While my collection is humble, I wanted to share my moods and views regarding the same.  Charlotte Tilbury’s own website is my personal favorite to shop from because they offer free shipping on every order along with 2 samples which is a great way to try more from the line.  Additionally, if you are a new customer on Charlotte Tilbury’s website, you can use my referral link to get $15 off your $75 purchase.  In general, I would compare the samples and gifts with purchase between the main three retailers to see where you can get the best deal.

Airbrush Flawless Finish (Medium)

Sephora     Nordstorm    Charlotte Tilbury

This pressed powder is possibly one of the highest recommended products from her line and it completely lives up to the hype.  As the newest addition to my collection, I am so glad that I picked it up.  It is finely milled and really does leave an airbrushed finish to the skin.  I have used it on top of various foundations and tinted moisturizers and it has worked well in conjunction with everything.  This lightweight product did not accentuate texture or cling on to dry patches when my skin wasn’t in the best shape.

Cheek to Chic (First Love)

Sephora     Nordstorm     Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury’s blushes are known for the natural healthy flush that they provide to the skin.  With the motion of using the outer color to “swish” on the cheekbone and the inner color to “pop” on the center, it gives a healthy buildable glow.  I personally did not use blush for years but now I don’t feel like a look is complete without some color and this provides the right amount without being overbearing.

Legendary Brows

Sephora     Nordstorm     Charlotte Tilbury

The only brow product I reach for is a brow gel.  I am so thankful to my South Asian roots for blessing me with full brows that are generally tamed.  I was told by a makeup artist to use a little brow gel when I wear makeup just to give a more polished look and I have noticed the difference.  My biggest pet peeve is when a brow gel gets flaky over time or leaves a very “crunchy” stiff affect on the brow hairs and this brow gel does neither.  The applicator is very fine so it makes it easy to comb over all the brow hairs and be precise.  Whenever I have to restock, I am going to try the tinted version since this is clear.

Unisex Healthy Glow

Sephora     Nordstorm     Charlotte Tilbury

The product that I am the most conflicted about is the Unisex Healthy Glow because while it is a beautiful tinted moisturizer that provides a bronze healthy sheen, the product itself reminds me of Elmer’s glue.  The scent of it and the initial application before you really rub in into your face is very unappealing to me.  The end result is beautiful and it really does give some what of an Instagram filter, I do forewarn you that the scent is very strong and it takes a while for the product to dry down.  It is the perfect product to reach for those no-makeup makeup days to give an even luminous finish to the skin.

Instant Look In A Palette (Smokey Eye)

Sephora     Nordstorm     Charlotte Tilbury

Have you ever come across a palette and thought you no longer need anything else?  This palette is the defination of an all in one for me.  I prefer a more natural glam and as a mom of two kids, I sometimes don’t have that much time to go through my collection to find products for each step.  That is when I know this palette will always deliver a polished look with the famous Bar of Gold highlight color, to the bronzer found in the Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, the First Love blush color and 3 eye shadow shades that deliver a put together look.  I tend to use the smoke shade as my eyeliner thus eliminating the need to reach for another product.  For someone who travels, this would be a great palette to have on hand.  (At the time of publishing this article, Sephora only has the shade “Beauty Glow” available)

Filmstar Bronze and Glow Contour Duo (Fair/Medium)

Sephora     Nordstorm     Charlotte Tilbury

The one thing that I love about Charlotte Tilbury’s products is how well they are pigmented to give a natural look.  They aren’t too overbearing or underwhelming, are perfect for a no-makeup look but can be built up in how much color you want without becoming patchy or not blending well.  The contour and highlight duo do just that taking away a step that people hesitate with, especially contour as it can be daunting.

Overall, Charlotte Tilbury’s line is luxurious but the products I have tried for the most part perform beautifully.  I have heard great things about her lip products and Magic Cream but I do not own either yet so I could not provide a review of them.  With the line being extended to Sephora, I have already purchased the raved about Flawless Filter which is a multipurpose complexion boosting product and can not wait to try it out.  What products from Charlotte Tilbury do you already own and what are you looking forward to trying out?

As with every post, I highly recommend that you sign up for Ebates if you already have not.  Currently, they are offering 8% at Sephora which makes it the perfect time to splurge on some Charlotte Tilbury products.  It is free to join and my referral link is: https://www.ebates.com/r/QZSHEI?eeid=28187.
